Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg

Good energy for breakfast
Aura – that is the name of the breakfast restaurant on the five- star hotel The Ritz-Carlton, located in the Autostadt Wolfsburg, which with its flexible furnishings can also be used as an event room. A lot of natural stone, brass, glass and light-coloured fabrics make you think of a dune landscape, although the North Sea is not roaring in front of the windows of the Aura restaurant, one looks across the Mittelland Canal to the imposing, listed VW power station.

So energy is a theme here. In front of the continuous window frontage are continuous convector shafts, covered with TTC linear gratings including matching frames and integrated electric tanks. These inserts each consist of two flush-mounted sockets, each with two USB connections. The stainless steel gratings, angle frames and inserts are burnished in a champagne colour to math the façade. The pictograms for sockets and USB have also been engraved into the covers of the electrical modules.
