Jury Curtroom, Wuppertal
Silence in court. The largest courtroom of the Wuppertal District Court is the jury courtroom: no old splendour, but a relic of the post-war period before the current renovation, as the part of the building in which the courtroom is located were severely damaged by bomb hits during Second World War.
The renovation of the much-used courtroom took into account the fact that modern media technology is increasingly used in trials, which means that audio recordings and video confer- ences must be clearly perceptable throughout the room.
In addition, the richly profiled coffered ceiling from the 1950s was to be preserved. This is the ideal location for the ADO Lights pendant baffle luminaires, which take up the structure of the ceiling, thereby ensuring better acoustics and, equipped with seperately switchable and dimmable LED Linargo pen- dant luminaires, provide direct and indirect lighting. Depend- ing on the time of day, the brightness of the basic lighting can be optimally regulated.
