A new light after the floods

2021 is a year that won’t be forgotten any time soon along the Ahr. That summer, in the space of a single afternoon, the flood disaster left large parts of the Ahr Valley in ruins and covered in mud. The Dagernova Wine Manufactory also had to rebuild its historic buildings; as part of the renovation, it combined the old grauwacke stones with plenty of wood and metal, and now presents its wine shop and vaulted cellar in a stylish new look.

The lighting concept showcases not only the products but also the spaces themselves, and helps visitors find their way around the building, which is divided into different areas for tastings, sales and events.

Returning elements include the LED light lines recessed into the floor, which primarily define the contours, and the LED Linargo, used as both pendant and surface-mounted luminaires. Some display cabinets have been fitted with LED Luc Minispots, whilst in the others the light lines appears in a shorter version as a profile strip.

In the sales areas, the LED Linargo is arranged rhythmically between the wooden panels mounted on the ceiling; in the various cellar rooms, however, it is displayed in its full length and elegance.
