Lighting design in the office of HPP Architekten

In the former district hall in Cologne, HPP Architekten impressively demonstrate how lighting design combines historical structures with contemporary design. The choice of LED luminaires from ado lights is central to this: the Gallago pendant luminaires in the open-plan office impress with their minimalist aesthetics, in which black anodised steel cables and satinised PMMA diffusers provide uniform, glare-free ambient lighting. At the same time, they support the room acoustics by being positioned between acoustic baffles, creating a pleasant working environment. In the individual offices, the same luminaire series is used as a ceiling extension, which ensures clear lighting discipline and spatial continuity.

The meeting rooms are equipped with a combination of LED Linargo surface-mounted luminaires and flexibly positionable LED Luc spotlights, which enable zoned and adaptable lighting control and thus optimally support different uses and room layouts. This lighting concept impressively demonstrates how light can be used as an architectural tool to emphasise material contrasts, enhance room quality and harmoniously fulfil functional requirements.
