One Plaza

Düsseldorf

Light + Green. Anyone travelling from the airport or the north of Düsseldorf towards the city centre will inevitably cross the Kennedydamm. The approach road is lined with modern office and commercial buildings – one of the newast being One Plaza.

The building was constructed according to green building criteria and, instead of a topping-out ceremony, a tree planting festival was held in the building’s inner courtyard. +grün calls the concept for greening the outdoor areas, the inner courtyard and the roof terrace « Forest Home ». In addition to the ecological aspects, the quality of the outdoor spaces also plays a role.

Light lines with aluminium profiles were integrated into the planters combined with benches. These bathe terrace areas in warm light after dark. The courtyard, which is used as a meeting place, is also accentuated with light lines.

LED-Lightline | Eye-catcher + signpost. Luminous lines in the dark. Sometimes eye-catchers. Then again signposts. They accentuate entrance areas or trace architectural contours. Lines of light can be integrated into façades and floor surfaces – they are always a visual highlight.
